Welcome to Hug, a beginner-friendly drawing, ink and watercolour class with illustrator Kimberly Rombaut.
In this class, Kimberly will guide you step by step through creating a warm illustration of a mother and daughter embracing. You don’t need to be confident at drawing before you begin. Kimberly starts with simple shapes to make the drawing more manageable, then gradually helps you refine the figures and add the details that bring them to life.
The class is taught in two parts. In Part 1, you’ll develop your drawing in pencil before adding clean ink line work. In Part 2, you’ll add colour and softness to your illustration using watercolour.

Drawing and Illustration Artist
Kimberly Rombaut is a drawing and illustration artist based in Antwerp, Belgium. She began drawing in 2021, developing a strong interest in nature and illustrative subjects.
Kimberly works mainly with ink and watercolour, using clean line work combined with soft washes to bring clarity and life to her illustrations. Her teaching focuses on simple, practical techniques that help students build confidence and enjoy the learning process.
She believes that anyone can learn to draw with practice and patience.
